Okay, you might need a sharpa for this one. Located on the
ninth floor of the Venetia building on the Miami side of the
Venetian Causeway, this has got to be the worl'd highest Irish
pub. The condominium offer valet parking, or you can find
metered parking on NE 15th Street. Once inside, simply take
the elevator to the 9th Floor and you'll find Mike's.

Mike's is a hidden gem of a sports bar, family-owned and
operated since the late 80's. Open until 3am with a 4 to 7pm
Happy Hour, the pub caters to an aclectic mix of condo
residents, local office workers and out-of-towners. There are
two dozen large-screen TV's for sports fans, two pool tables
in the back room and a juke box for rock n' roll aficianados.

The menu is extensive and very reasonably-priced. The steak
dinners, in particular, are great value with a 12oz New York
Sirloin Steak with sauteed mushrooms, potato or rice and a
side salad for just $14.95. It's hard to find value like that
anywhere else in town. The sandwiches, burgers, pizza and
seafood are all excellent value as well. When it comes to
dining, there's so much choice here compared to other
Miami sports bars.

Poolside outdoor seating is available but, alas, no views of
Biscayne Bay. However, don't let that put you off elevating to
Mike's - if you're in the area this bar is well worth checking out.
