Opened in 2000, The Playwright offers a welcome alternative
to the early-morning high-priced Miami Beach club scene.
Located right in the heart of South Beach, the pub stays open
until 5am and offers an impressive selection of imported beers
along with a quality bar food menu, including the traditional
Irish breakfast for a reasonable $12.95.

The interior is reminiscient of a typical cottage-style Irish
pub, all decked out in wood with oak barrel tables and plenty
of Irish memorabilia on the walls. For the sports fans there are
three giant screens and over 20 HD flat screens throughout
the pub showing a selection of US and international sports
events.

Bar staff are friendly and welcoming and the not-to-be-missed
Happy Hour from 4 to 7pm features half priced drink and bar
food specials.

The only negatives are the steep 18% gratuity added to all
checks, no matter what size. And of course, no parking.
But this is South Beach after all...
